Katie Machen is a writer, editor, and cheesemonger based in Queens by way of Maryland, Pennsylvania, France, and New Zealand. Previously, Katie was an Adjunct Lecturer in English at Queens College and Staff Writer and Coordinator of Special Projects at Franklin & Marshall College. She has served as an editor for Armstrong Literary and a fiction reader for Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading. Katie holds an MFA in creative writing and literary translation from Queens College, CUNY and is at work on a book-length collection of personal essays. She is available on a freelance basis as a writer, editor, and proofreader.
